Thank you for your interest in the Xferdata Introducer Network. Here are 10 FAQ’s to help you progress. If you wish to join the network and receive introducer fees please sign our introducer agreement (below).

  1. What is my role as an introducer? Introduce companies that are interested in receiving data valuations relating to their internal data assets or considering data monetization (i.e converting that data valuation to annual recurring cashflow). Post introduction you do not need to provide any further support. The platform is self service.

  2. What will I get paid as an introducer? There is a single referral fee for a company that commits to data monetization. In addition, there are subsequent success fees (quarterly payments over 1 year) if data valuations are realized with global data buyers. The success fees are tied to the total amount of data monetization achieved by the data owner, introduced company. There is a worked example in the introducer agreement (below).

  3. Who are Xferdata? A U.S.A incorporated business with data specialists and valuation advisors that have extensive industry, technology and data operations experience. We believe 99% of companies are not aware of their data asset value. We wish to make it easy to understand that value, without data sharing initially, and then to not impact the companies operations if they choose to monetize. We handle all activities and data operations with the global data buying community. We are networked with all buyer types, provided they have data budget.

  4. What type of companies have suitable and interesting data? Any company that has greater than 3 years of operating history and ideally more than 50 corporate clients or greater than 500,000 individual customers will have data of value. All geographic regions are relevant.

  5. How will the company know what their data is worth? Via a short questionnaire, without any data sharing required, our models arrive at a valuation same day. All models are supervised by domain experts with knowledge of different data types.

  6. How does my corporate contact know valuations are realistic? The valuations have been arrived at by models that are supervised by experts that have either bought or sold data that is similar to the company’s data type. The drivers of data valuations are primarily breadth, depth and history of data. There are 20 questions and advanced, supervised, models arrive at conservative valuations and total recurring revenue.

  7. What about compliance, GDPR, PII and commercial sensitivities? Established Fortune 500 companies have monetized data for many years. The company name is never disclosed externally to Xferdata. Data will be anonymized and aggregated to ensure that no personal information is shared. The company, the data owner, will decide if in aggregated form if the data is commercially sensitive. Prior to data access there are multiple compliance checks by Xferdata and data consumers to ensure right to collect, right to share and no personal information are addressed.

  8. When do companies care about these exercises? Typically when their business valuation is in focus (M&A , capital raising) or they wish to increase recurring cashflow to invest in their core business. Introductions to CEO, CFO, COO, Founders or data strategy leads are beneficial.

  9. How long do these exercises take? Valuations are immediate, subject to the questionnaire being complete. Xferdata provides a data monetization service where within 4 months it is determined if valuations can be realized and the data owner receives annual recurring cashflows.

  10. How does Xferdata charge customers? We charge a low one off fee to the Corporate data owner to generate a valuation estimate. There are low monthly recurring payments if the company then chooses to monetize and requests Xferdata to engage with the global marketplace on their behalf. We do not take any commissions from the data owner if data monetization is achieved.
